Baniyas Investment & Development Company - LLC (Baniyas) plans to develop Bawabat Al Sharq, a community development in Bani Yas City, Abu Dhabi Bawabat Al Sharq will be developed over a land area of 1.08 million sq.m, consisting of commercial and residential areas, including a shopping mall, parking lot, a Fifa standard football stadium with a seating capacity of more than 20,000 spectators and several outdoor and indoor training areas, in addition to an international hypermarket operator, 22 food court outlets and other community amenities such as banks, pharmacies, cinemas and coffee shops, Souk Al Megnas (4500 sq.m) Baniyas will develop the project in 3 phases. Phase 1 includes a 2 floor shopping mall with a 70,000 gross leasable area that will include 339 high profile retail outlet and residential units, phase 2 includes the construction of 14 blocks having 780 apartments and 129 villas, and related facilities; and phase 3 includes the construction of 153 villas, commercial outlets, a school spread over an area of 62,625 sq. m and related facilities. The infrastructure will be developed by Abu Dhabi Municipality. Upon completion, the development will contain 1,300 residential apartments and will be able to accommodate more than 8,000 residents.
