Background

Ministry of Electricity and Energy of Myanmar developed Shweli River Hydropower Station Transmission Line Project in Myanmar. Yunnan United Power Development Corp was EPC contractor. The project covered the construction of 135 km transmission line with the capacity of 132 KV, including 261 towers and related substations. The line was from Let Pan Hla to shweli river III hydropower substation. The project occupied a very important position in the planning and construction of Myanmar's national power system and would help Belt and Road Initiative development.
