Background

Dhofar Tourism Company SAOG plans to develop Mirbat Beach Development, a mixed-use project in Mirbat, Salalah, Oman. The development will occupy a land area of 2 million sq.m and will consist of residential units, retail units, offices, hotels, a golf course, a clubhouse, a water park, a hospital, a nursery, an entertainment center and related facilities. The project will be executed in 5 phases. Phase 1 will covers the 5-star, 234-room Salalah Marriott Beach Resort, restaurants, a Banquet Hall of 240 seats, a Frankincense Spa, swimming pools and 5 retail shops. Phase 2 will covers a 5-star, 330-room hotel, 538 furnished apartments, a marina with a berthing facility of 75 boats, 161 marina apartments of between, 87 townhouses, 88 boulevard apartments, 47 golf villas, a retail space of 10,000 sq.m area, an offices space of 10,000 sq.m area, a 9-hole golf course and golf clubhouse, a water park, a private Hospital, a nursery (child care facility) and an entertainment centre. Phase 3 will covers 533 townhouses, 10 golf villas, a sports complex with both indoor and outdoor sport facilities, and a private school with boarding facilities and an indoor games area. Phase 4 will covers 384 village houses and an activity area for horse and camel riding. Phase 5 will covers 480 villas of different apartment's sizes that range between 2 storey and 3 storey buildings. Parsons International Limited is the PMC.
