Background

Gas Transmission Company Limited planned to develop Chittagong-Bakhrabad Gas Transmission Line Project in Chittagong Division from Faujdarhat via Feni to Bakhrabad in Bangladesh. Valvitalia SpA was the Civil work EPC contractor. NARI Technology Co Ltd was the SCADA & Telecommunication System EPC contractor. Consortium Of China North Vehicle Corp and Nanjing Julong was the pipe supply contractor. The project covered the construction of a 181 km, 36-inch parallel gas pipeline, 9 associated valve stations, a pig launcher, 2 town border station (TBS), a pig receiver and a metering station, and other supporting facilities. The project aimed at establishing a sustainable gas transmission pipeline to meet the demand of gas in the Chittagong-Bakhrabad region and adjoining areas.
