Consortium of Kosmos Energy Ltd, BP plc., National Oil Company of Senegal (Petrosen) and Societe Mauritanienne des Hydrocarbures et de Patrimoine Minier (SMHPM) planned to develop Greater Tortue Ahmeyim LNG Phase I Project, in cross-border Greater Tortue Ahmeyim offshore gas field between Mauritania and Senegal. TechnipFMC plc was FEED consultant and EPCIC contractor of FPSO unit. KBR Inc was EPCM contractor of facilities integration as well as for the terminal quarters and utilities management for the near-shore terminal. CH2M HILL Co Ltd was subcontractor of civil and marine engineering services. Consortium of Eiffage Genie Civil Marine SASU and Saipem SpA was FEED consultant and EPCI contractor of near-shore terminal. CIMC Raffles Offshore Engineering Pte Ltd was FEED consultant and EPC contractor of jack-up accommodation and utilities platform. The project covers the construction of 2.5 Mtpa Gas. The Greater Tortue Ahmeyim field would be initially developed with a deepwater subsea production system comprising four gas production wells tied-back to a floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) unit. The gas will be processed for the removal of heavier hydrocarbon components on the FPSO. The processed gas will be further sent via a 100km-subsea pipeline to a near-shore floating LNG (FLNG) vessel named Gimi. BP signed a 20-year lease and operate agreement (LOA) for the Greater Tortue Ahmeyim FLNG unit with Gimi MS Corp.
