Ministry of Energy of Bolivia planned to develop 280 MW Ivirizu Hydropower Plant Project, in Carrasco Province, Cochabamba, Bolivia. The turkey developer was Enel Generacion Chile S.A. (ENDE). The main construction contractors were Sinohydro Engineering Bureau 4 Co. Ltd and Sinohydro Bureau 11 Co Ltd. The project covered the construction of a hydroelectric complex including 2 power plants known as Sehuencas and Juntas with the total installed capacity of 280 MW. It would also install and build the hydromechanical equipment and transmission lines to transmit power through high voltage line to a sub-station in Mizque. The construction would be divided in to 4 sections to complete. The project played a significant role in the whole plan made by Bolivian Government to make 70% of the country's power transform to hydroelectric sources by 2025.
