Public Utilities Board Singapore' of Singapore (PUB) planned to develop the project of 'The Deep Tunnel Sewerage System Phase 2 - Tuas Water Reclamation Plant - Influent Pumping Stations', which was also know as 'Tuas WRP IPS' in Tuas, Singapore. JV of Koh Brothers Building & Civil Engineering Contractor (Pte) Ltd and China Harbour Engineering Singapore Branch Co Ltd was the construction contractor. CH2M Hill Co Ltd was the design & supervision consultant. The project covered the construction of 2 coarse screen shafts, 3 influent pumping stations (IPS), rising mains and 2 66 kV substations. Construction works was expected to take 75 months to be completed, followed by 53 months of operation and maintenance services. The project was designed to be the largest Membrane Bio-Reactor (MBR) facility in the world. Up to 85% of NEWater from domestic used water would become recoverable once the project went operation. It would be integrated with NEA's IWMF project to leverage on water-energy-waste nexus. The project was cooperated with international companies and located in country along Belt and Road Initiative.
