Petroleo Brasileiro S.A. planned to develop Brazil Floating Production Storage Offloading P70 Project, in Santos Basin, Santos, Sao Paulo, Brazil. China National Offshore Oil Corp was contractor of the project. COSCO Shipping was contractor of the hull. The project covered the construction of 1,600,000 barrels maximum oil storage capacity, 150,000 bdp crude oil, 6,000,000 cubic meters per day natural gas processing capacity, 15,000,000 tons gas maximum annual output. The 300-meter long and 74-meter wide P70 had a deck area equal to three standard football pitches. P70 was the second international level FPSO China National Offshore Oil Corp assembled after the P67 delivered in 2018, and was created in global record-breaking time for construction of extra-large FPSOs. The project promoted strategic cooperation between China and Brazil, increased cooperation in energy fields between China and Belt and Road countries and accelerated the pace at which China's marine engineering equipment manufacturing industry went global.
