Alexandria Petrochemicals Complex Polybutadiene Rubber Plant Project

The Egyptian Ethylene and Derivatives Company plans to construct a polybutadiene plant as part of the Alexandria petrochemicals complex in El Nahda land in Amereya-Alexandria zone. The project covers the construction of a 36,000 t/y polybutadiene plant along with associated facilities. The scope of work of the new rubber plant comprises one production train of Low Cis Butadiene Rubber and related facilities. Polybutadiene is a synthetic rubber with a high resistance to wear and is used in the manufacture of tires, which consumes about 70 per cent of all global production Tecnimont Arabia Co.
