pt weda bay industrial park planned to develop Weda Bay Industrial Park Project, in Halmahera, Maluku, Indonesia. The project covered the construction of 12 ferronickel pyrometallurgy lines, a ferronickel hydrometallurgy plant, 3 attached power plant and 3 ports. The project had two phases, and phase 1 had construction started in 2018. The project was expected to have a direct impact on local economic growth, including creating new jobs that can absorb local labor. GDP in the province and region would also had a rapid growth, which would help the overall rate of industrial development in eastern Indonesia increase.
