K-Electric Ltd.planned to develop 220 kV Dhabeji Grid & Transmission Line Project, in Thatta, Sindh, Pakistan. China XD Group Co Ltd was the EPC contractor of the project who would be in charge of the design, survey, supply, civil engineering, construction, installation, and field test of the transmission lines. The project covered the design, survey, supply, civil engineering, construction, installation, and field test of a total length of 13 km transmission lines, which were made up of a 11.5km 220kV double-circuit four-split overhead transmission line and a 1.5km 220kV double-circuit buried cable line. The total construction period was expected to be 18 months. The project would be connected to the DHABEJI substation in Karachi. It promoted Belt & Road Initiative cooperation between Pakistan and China.
