ExxonMobil Corp planned to develop Southampton Fawley Strategy Project in Southampton, England, UK. Fluor Corp was the EPFC contractor. Shanghai Baoye Group Corp Ltd was the Modular Assembly construction contractor. The project covered the construction of a new diesel hydrotreater, a steam methane-reforming hydrogen plant, and modifications to unidentified existing installations. The project was expected to increase the ultra-low-sulfur diesel (ULSD) production at the site by 38000 b/d. Shanghai Baoye contracted to construct the B36 plant, which included a hydrogen storage device (h2/hy) and a hydrotreating device (hd10/hx), with a total weight of 5713 ton. There would be a total of 25 modules, which was made up of 11 PAR, 9 PAU, 5 towers, and 6 sets of supporting leg parts. The project Intended to improve the refinery’s overall energy efficiency and reduce UK’s need of importing diesel. It also promoted the Belt and Road Initiative by increasing cooperation between China and the UK.
