Background

Belarusian National Biotechnology Corporation plans to develop Belarusian Agro-industrial Complex Project, in Minsk, Minsk, Belarus. CITIC Construction Co Ltd was the EPC contractor. Mettler Toledo Ltd was weighing system equipment supplier. Adopting modern biotechnology to deep process crop seeds, the project aims to produce irreplaceable amino acids (lysine, tryptophan, etc.), and further produce high-yield and high-tech balanced compound feed and biological activator. The construction mainly includes: a lysine plant with an annual output of 50,000 tons, a tryptophan plant with an annual output of 5,000 tons, a balanced compound feed plant with an annual output of 1 million tons, a oil crop processing plant with an annual output of 300,000 tons, a 600-million-ton silo grain storage with drying facilities, and a grain production base with an annual output of 1 million tons with supporting infrastructure project and field pipe network. The project was developed under Belt and Road Initiative which would deeply strengthen the link between China and Belarus.
