Background

JV of the Ministry of economy of the Republic of Belarus and the Chinese engineering Corporation (CAMCE) plans to build Great Stone industrial zone, Smolevichi district, 25km far from Minsk, Belarus. The construction includes: 12,000m2 of Commercial and Retail Area The prototype of the Chinese-Belarusian industrial Park was the Chinese-Singapore industrial Park in Suzhou. The Ministry of economy of the Republic of Belarus and the "Chinese engineering Corporation CAMC" (CAMCE) agreed to cooperate on the establishment of the Chinese-Belarusian industrial Park in Belarus. The creation of the Park was also discussed at a meeting of the Belarusian-Chinese intergovernmental Commission. To start the creation of the Park, the following documents were developed and signed: Agreement on cooperation on the establishment of a Chinese-Belarusian industrial Park on the territory of the Republic of Belarus between the Ministry of economy of the Republic of Belarus and the Chinese engineering Corporation CAMC (CAMCE) . Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the people's Republic of China on the joint development of the Chinese-Belarusian industrial Park President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed decree No. 253 "on the Chinese-Belarusian industrial Park" . Documents on the establishment of a joint venture for the development of the Park were signed in Minsk. As a result, the Chinese-Belarusian CJSC "Company for the development of the industrial Park" ("Industrial Park Development Company", IPDC) was formed. The company was established with the authorized capital of $10 million. In the Chinese cities of Harbin and Guangzhou was held a presentation of the Park. The government of Belarus approved the General plan of the Park (resolution No. 447). A government delegation from the city of Harbin visited Minsk to discuss participation in the capital of the management company of the Chinese-Belarusian industrial Park. Minister of economy of Belarus Nikolay Snopko participated in the negotiations. A group of businessmen from the South China province of Guangdong also announced their intention to participate in the development of the project. Alexander Lukashenko at a meeting in Beijing with Premier of the state Council of China Li Keqiang asked the Chinese government to "provide maximum assistance" in the development of the industrial Park. The Chinese Corporation Huawei became the first resident of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed decree No. 326 " on the activities of the Chinese-Belarusian industrial Park "Great stone ". Up to this point, the Park was nameless. The name is based on the name of the Great Stone village located on the South-Eastern edge of the Park.
