Dubai – Sunset Hospitality Group, a leading international hospitality investment and management company, now owns a minority share of the Black Tap brand, the famous American eatery known for its award-winning burgers and signature CrazyShake® milkshakes.

Sunset Hospitality Group currently holds the rights for Black Tap in Europe and the Middle East.  The recent investment will extend the Group’s partnership with the Black Tap brand even further.

Making a grand start to the year, the Group reveals that two additional Black Tap outlets will open at The Dubai Mall and Mall of the Emirates in Q2 2020. The two new locations will bring the total to nine Black Tap branches across the Middle East region and are expected to create jobs for more than 120 people in Dubai. Sunset Hospitality also announced that, following on the success of Black Tap Geneva, it will expand its portfolio in Switzerland, with a new Black Tap restaurant in Zurich, which is slated for a Q2 opening.

“When we first introduced the Black Tap concept in the UAE, we were amazed by the great feedback from guests who loved the unique food offering, and the CrazyShake® milkshakes. This fueled our decision to open more outlets within a short span of time. As we enter the new decade, we believe that this is the right time to further expand the concept into the region and abroad. The decision to invest in the Black Tap brand globally is an ambitious move, and we are convinced that we are looking at great returns as the company has ambitious growth plans around the world,” says Antonio Gonzalez, CEO, Sunset Hospitality Group.

The upcoming three Black Tap outlets are part of the more than 10 new outlets that Sunset Hospitality Group plans to open this year, taking its portfolio over 30 venues by year-end. Existing brands that are opening this year in the UAE and the wider GCC region include STAGE, Azure Beach and Ammos, in addition to SUSHISAMBA Dubai and AURA Skypool Lounge, both located at the Palm Tower.

With a proven record of success in delivering a blend of high-quality concepts, with a unique style and service-focused culture, creating unique experiences, the recent announcement further boosts Sunset Hospitality Group’s position as one of the leading UAE companies in concept development and hospitality management.
