• Inaugural edition of World Gourmet Show – Abu Dhabi to see Michelin star chefs and local chefs hosting cooking classes and more

Abu Dhabi, UAE: Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA), SIAL Middle East 2021 (SIAL ME) has announced the first Abu Dhabi World Gourmet Show as part of its 11th edition.  

Organised and hosted by Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC), from 7 to 9 December 2021, SIAL ME is one of the Middle East’s largest food, beverage, and hospitality events. The inaugural World Gourmet Show – Abu Dhabi will see Michelin star chefs and the best chefs in Abu Dhabi delivering cooking masterclasses across a range of current themes and more.

The event will see 2 star Michelin Chef Angelos Lantos, from Greece, Michelin star chef Faycal Bettioui, from Morocco, Michelin Star Chef Gal Ben Moshe, from Israel, Michelin Star Chef and two time World Acrobatic Pizza Champion Pasqualini Barbasso, from Italy. Themes for the event will range from sustainable cuisine, healthy cuisine, intolerances and diet, cross-ethnic, modern Emirati and Arab cuisine, ingredients of the world and innovation and tradition.

Visitors can expect masterclasses from the maestros and can even go head-to-head to win incredible prizes. The World Champion acrobatic pizza performer will display his spectacular skills live on each day of the show. This event will take place within the bespoke World Gourmet Show kitchen, which features a hydroponic garden, liquid lab and pizza kitchen.  The hydroponic garden offers visitors valuable insights into the world of hydroponics, which is the form of gardening with water and nutrients instead of soil. The Master of Pizza kitchen will teach participants how to create pizzas with pizazz through it series of masterclasses, food tasting and competitions.
