Governor of Port Said Major General Adel Ghadban, advisor to the President for National Security Affairs Ambassador Fayza Abul-Naga, and Eng. Walid Khalil, Chairman of New Plan Developments inaugurated Sahet Misr [Egypt Square] project, and handed over the first phase of ÉCLAT project, formerly Karawan, which the company completed its development in the governorate.

The delegation included Major General Adel Ghadban, Governor of Port Said, Ambassador Fayza Abul-Naga, advisor to the President for National Security Affairs, executive leaders in Port Said Governorate and New Plan Developments, in addition to members of House of Representatives and the Senate.

Ghadban said that the Sahet Misr was developed on the best design worthy of the level of the ancient history of Egypt and history of Suez Canal, as well as, expresses authenticity of the Egyptian identity in front of all international ships transiting the canal.

Chairman of New Plan Developments Walid Khalil stated that the project is located on 5 acres, including the history garden and has been fully developed at the highest architectural and aesthetic level. Sahet Misr includes a 22-meter-high statue, and the development of the project began in November 2020.

Khalil explained that New Plan's implementation of the development work of the Sahet Misr project comes within the framework of the company's Corporate Social Responsibility.

He further noted that the project is the gateway to Egypt overlooking the Suez Canal, which is seen by international ships passing through Egypt.

The delegation headed to inaugurate the delivery of the first phase of ÉCLAT project, formerly Karawan, in a ceremony presented by the artist Mais Hamdan, and performed by super star Angham.

Khalil confirmed that Port Said is one of the most promising investment governorates that has promising and distinguished opportunities that make it a fertile city for investment.

The ÉCLAT compound is one of the largest tourist villages in Port Said governorate and includes the first artificial lake in Port Said, he disclosed, noted that the development of the first phase of the project has been completed.

He added, “The cost of developing the first phase of the ÉCLAT Port Said amounts to EGP 250m. It is planned to complete the entire project in May 2022, and the village is being developed in partnership with Port Said Governorate. It comprises a variety of units and duplex villas.” He praised the efforts of Major General Adel Al-Ghadban to make the governorate one of the attractive investment cities for developers in various economic sectors.

There are other promising and different upcoming projects for New Plan Developments in Port Said Governorate in the light of the company’s policy to diversify its products to be different and distinct from the rest of developers, he concluded.
