Mercato is proud to announce remarkable results for the first three weeks of its Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) ‘Shop, Win and Save Lives’ fund-raising initiative, which raised a total of AED210,000 to support the ‘UAE Homeland of Humanity’ fund to combat COVID-19.

The initiative, which came to an end on 29 July, saw AED1 from every Dh100 spent at Mercato and Town Centre Jumeriah donated to the ‘UAE Homeland of Humanity’ fund. The first three weeks of DSS were extremely positive, with the campaign generating a high number of donations by shoppers and Mercato topping up the total to AED210,000 in the spirit of DSS.

Nisreen Boustani, PR and Communications Manager of Mercato and Town Centre Jumeriah, said: “Mercato’s DSS fundraising initiative was carried out in partnership with the Dubai Charity Association and Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department as one of the most important initiatives launched by Mercato to support the fight against the pandemic. The initiative reflects the strong solidarity shown by community members and their efforts to extend humanitarian support at these unprecedented times.”
