Riyadh – In a move to enhance the professional qualifications of its employees and freshly enrolled graduates, KPMG has invested in a support program to assist them in obtaining accreditation by the Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants (SOCPA).

“SOCPA accreditation is the gold standard for public accountancy in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and this program will motivate Finance and Advisory enthused employees and potentials in Riyadh, Jeddah and Khobar to undertake advanced training that will greatly enrich their career paths within or outside KPMG,” said Mr. Abdullah Alfozan - Chairman, KPMG in Saudi Arabia and KPMG MESA.

“As a social responsibility initiative that reflects the leading position of KPMG in the business, the accreditation program affirms KPMG’s dedication and commitment to meeting standards that demonstrate a higher level of performance. The overall objective of the program is to attract future talents to get enrolled and prosper in a well-established, healthy environment accounting firm”, Alfozan added.

It is important to note that KPMG will assist participants in sourcing external providers for SOCPA qualification training. However, KPMG will provide specific tax and soft skills training. The duration of the program is three years during which the participants will enjoy exceptional privileges.

The training covers an introduction to KPMG Tax Methodologies, Risk Management, Ethics and Independence, Tax Foundation, Tax Modules and Tax Updates.

Concluding his comments, Abdullah Alfozan said; “The SOCPA program complements KPMG’S Saudization drive, which is in-line with the National Transformation Plan and on track to increase percentage of Saudi employees to 80 percent by 2020.”
