Dubai, UAE – Xunison, a tech company supported by Enterprise Ireland, the Irish government’s trade and innovation agency, have signed an agreement to exclusively develop and supply the latest software for advanced smart home and consumer communications technology to STC (Saudi Telecom Company), the leading telecom service provider, headquartered in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Headquartered in Dublin, Xunison combines innovative design with proven development and production methods to build customisable, convenient solutions without compromises. They offer unique, all-in-one devices, a SaaS management platform, and mobile applications that simplify and enhance smart homes, mobile entertainment, and other consumer and commercial connected services.

Speaking about the deal at GITEX Technology Week, Ryan O'Donovan, CEO at Xunison, said: “We are delighted to partner with STC as they expand and evolve their consumer proposition. Saudi Arabia and the wider MENA region is a key focus for Xunison as we grow our customer-base.”

Through this strategic partnership, Xunison will being the latest qualcomm chipsets, state-of-the-art Wi-Fi mesh, and Z-Wave & Zigbee smart home capability to the region. This unique home gateway and service solution, features an operator-tier Android OS along with custom cyber security and parental controls products, that will provide a significant differentiator and enhanced experience for STC consumers.

Xunison’s commitment to quality and security helps users enjoy a great wireless experience. Connections can now be prioritised by device or application, so everyone gets the performance they need for work, video streaming and gaming. Pre-set scenes can be created to automatically dim lights, turn down the AC, and other energy-saving actions.

The full home security system includes automated locks, motion sensors, and security cameras that stream live video feeds to a mobile phone or laptop, giving subscribers visibility and assurance 24 hours a day. A specially designed remote control even lets subscribers switch between entertainment, home controls, and security video with the push of a button.
