Manama, Bahrain: - Cinépolis Cinemas, the largest movie exhibitor in Latin America and the third largest in the world, is pleased to announce that screenings are to recommence at its multiplex in Atrium Mall, Saar, Bahrain at the start of the Eid Al-Fitr holiday. Following the Bahrain government’s hugely effective public safety measures against the Covid-19 pandemic, the public will be able to safely enjoy the latest cinematic releases once again with a maximum theater occupancy of 50 per cent. Bahrain’s theater is conveniently located in the easily accessible Atrium Mall in Saar on the northwest of the island and screenings will commence at 2:30 pm.

Health and Safety Protocol

Only patrons who have received their second Covid-19 vaccination dose are permitted entry to the cinema and it should have been administered at least 14 days prior to visiting. Vaccination certificates must be produced before entry is permitted.

Children under the age of 12 are permitted entry to the cinema bust must be accompanied by adults who are either fully vaccinated or can otherwise provide evidence of immunity. All auditoriums will operate at a maximum occupancy of 50 per cent to ensure ample distancing between seats.

The safety of guests, staff and vendors remains the foremost priority, and Cinépolis Cinemas management has taken a number of measures to ensure a safe and enjoyable moviegoing experience, including:

  • Introduced social distancing guidelines in all common areas

Cinépolis Cinemas in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)

Cinépolis Cinemas have created a joint venture with the Dubai-based Al Tayer to build and operate cinemas across the GCC region. In the GCC, the international chain opened its first theater in Bahrain in January 2019, followed by another three theaters that year – one in the UAE and two in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
