Abu Dhabi: Emirates College of Technology (ECT), one of UAE’s oldest and most prestigious universities accredited for quality higher education; is taking part in Tawdheef exhibition, the region’s leading Emiratisation exhibition that focuses on Recruitment and Career Development, taking place between the 28th and 30th of January at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.

ECT has joined other leading exhibitors at the event, focusing on candidates looking to further their education and increase career prospects within the UAE, supporting the Abu Dhabi Vision 2030 of transforming the UAE economy into one that is knowledge based. Being part of Tawdheef exhibition comes with the belief in the importance of direct communication with students to introduce the university’s programs and services to maximum number of working students and job seekers; in addition to providing educational programs that will help them to hone and develop critical skills needed in the current job market.

The College’s stand at the fair welcomes young and ambitious Emiratis to learn more about career opportunities available to them in Abu Dhabi’s flourishing business landscape, in line with their commitment to supply the local labour market with qualified professionals equipped with the latest skills.

Professor Abdul Rahim Sabouni, Acting President & CEO of Emirates College of Technology, said: “Through ECT’s participation in the exhibition, which plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between universities and the industry while helping both understand modern market demands, we aim to introduce millennials to career prospects that result from achieving higher education, informing them about the various diploma and bachelor programs we offer. At ECT, we are working to strengthen Abu Dhabi’s business ecosystem and strive to educate young talent to enable them to succeed in their chosen careers.”

Students who hold high school diplomas and are looking to advance their education, are the primary target audience for the College. With the fast changing job environment, companies these days are in search for candidates that hold a minimum of bachelors degree. To assist students in their quest for better job opportunities, ECT is highlighting its courses and programs on offer, focusing on its flagship diploma program; a Double Major in Business Administration and Computer Information Systems; Bachelor of Applied Health Sciences in Health Information Management and Bachelor of Business Administration in Industrial Management that empowers students with core competencies, knowledge and skills needed to meet the requirements of industrial management.

ECT’s programs are unique and deliver core familiarity about business operations, supply chain management & logistics in organizations, inculcate critical thinking skills in students and prepare them to meet the requirements of the health care sector by identifying core concepts in health and safety. The college is known for its affordability; being adaptive and supporting competitive tuition. Working students are also given the flexibility of choosing courses and preferred timings from amongst Weekend, Weekdays, Morning or Evening classes, with their credits being transferred from various universities and programs.
