The Ambassador of Cuba in Harare, Carmelina Ramírez Rodríguez, had an interview for "Good Morning Zimbabwe", a programme of the Zimbabwean television ZBC. The Cuban diplomat highlighted the historical ties between the two nations, which started before Zimbabwe independence and they are still prevailing to this day. During the interview she denounced the unfair US economic blockade against the Caribbean island, intensified with more than 243 measures adopted by the Trump administration and supported by the current president of the White House. She also denounced the sanctions imposed by USA and the West on the sister country of Zimbabwe. She highlighted the good state of bilateral cooperation in the health and education sectors. She also expressed interest in expanding to other spheres of interest.
