BMW X models continue to fuel growth with the BMW 5 Series and 7 Series sales charging hard.
Abu Dhabi, UAE – Abu Dhabi Motors, BMW Group’s importer in the Capital, once again claims the title of the best-performing BMW Group importer in the Middle East in terms of sales, customer retention, brand equity and customer satisfaction in 2017, with total sales exceeding 15,000 new cars. Marking its seventh consecutive year at the top and the ninth consecutive year of increased sales, strengthened 8 Years aftersales service packages, the continuation of several strategic partnerships with major organisations and exciting launches were some of the factors fuelling the company’s ongoing growth supported by the utmost commitment and professionalism of its outstanding employees.
The continued success of top-end models, mainly the BMW X5, X6, BMW 5 Series and BMW 7 Series largely drove the importer’s impressive sales results. With a unique blend of performance, modern and elegant designs, premium levels of comfort and space, in addition to industry-first technologies, both vehicles of the X model family continued to garner customer appreciation and approval. 2016 was the first full-year of the new 7 Series, and 2017 was the first full-year for the new 5 Series models – two of the most popular models in this region which helped keep sales stable. MINI also experienced a strong year in the Capital, with the new Countryman proving to be the most popular model.
2017 saw the arrival of the all-new BMW M760Li xDrive. The 12-cylinder, 610Bhp, petrol engine with M Performance TwinPower Turbo technology reinforced the new car’s range-topping status, while its dynamic driving characteristics combined with superior ride comfort made it a compelling statement and set a new benchmark in the luxury sedan segment. In line with the capital’s appetite for luxury vehicles, Abu Dhabi Airports’ VIP Terminal, took delivery of five new BMW M760Li individual vehicles from Abu Dhabi Motors. This doubled the current fleet of luxury vehicles at the VIP Terminal in Abu Dhabi International Airport to ten luxury BMW’s taking the travel experience from comfortable to extraordinary.
To offer customers total exclusivity and enabling them to stand out from any crowd, 2017 also saw Abu Dhabi Motors offering an extensive palette of highly exclusive paint finishes for the BMW range. The extensive range of colours allowed customers to make a strong statement with their BMW, in line with Abu Dhabi Motors’ ongoing mission to tailor and create truly unique vehicles for its top customers. onstrated by another highlight for 2017 when it took home three honors at the global ‘Excellence in Sales’ global awards - Best importer in Sales, Best BMW 7 Series Importer, and Manager of the Year award for Arno Husselmann, General Manager of Abu Dhabi Motors.

Vehicles are supplied with two packages as standard on cars sold from Abu Dhabi Motors. The BMW Service Inclusive Plus package covers routine services for 8 years and/or 160,000 kms and the BMW Repair Inclusive package covers 5 years and/or 200,000 kms. MINIs are also supplied with two packages: the MINI Service Inclusive Plus for 5 years and/or 100,000 kms, and MINI Repairs Inclusive for 5 years and/or 200,000 kms. This means even more added- value to customers, offering them the lowest cost of ownership amongst all brands. Along with peace of mind, the customer will also enjoy a higher resale value on their car because of this coverage. Furthermore, the unused portion of all packages are fully transferable to any new owner since the packages belong to the vehicle and not the owner.
Abu Dhabi Motors’ commitment to deliver unmatched sales and service standards, in addition to ongoing improvements across its business functions during the last 12 months, have contributed to a further increase in customer satisfaction levels. From June 2017, the customer satisfaction index showed that the importer achieved an overall sales satisfaction score of 98.3%, with aftersales satisfaction levels at 97.3%.
