Mubasher: Oman’s local natural gas production and imports edged up 0.08% year-on-year to 42.194 billion cubic metres (BCM) by the end of November 2019, the Oman News Agency (ONA) reported on Saturday.

Industrial projects accounted for 3.8% of the uses of natural gas in the sultanate, or 26.087 BCM, by the end of November 2019.

“The total use of industrial estates in the sultanate, including Oman Mining Company, and Oman Cement, reached 138 million cubic meters (MCM),” ONA revealed.

Moreover, Oilfields in the GCC country used 8.886 BCM of natural gas in November 2019, up 1.5% YoY from the year-ago period.

“The power plants used 7.028 BCM of natural gas, a decrease of 9.4%. The Ministry of Defence and Sultan Qaboos University used 55 MCM of natural gas.”

Non-associated production of natural gas, including import, reached 34.550 BCM in November, whereas the oil-associated production amounted to 7.644 BCM.
