CAIRO  - Egypt, the world's largest wheat importer, has bought 365,615 tonnes of wheat from its farmers so far this season, the state-owned Al Akhbar newspaper said.

Local procurement started on April 15. Egypt has said it aims to procure 3.6 million tonnes of wheat from local farmers during the season.
