ArabFinance: Sudan Civil Aviation Authority decided to partially welcome flights from Egypt at Khartoum International Airport, Sudan News Agency announced.

Air traffic will also be reopened to journeys from the UAE and Turkey.

The decision comes in line with the Supreme Committee for Health Emergencies’ directives to gradually lift strict measures against the spread of coronavirus.

All arrivals at the airport will undergo a medical checkup as of July 14th. In addition, non-Sudanese passengers will take the polymerase chain reaction.

The Arab republic, meanwhile, reopened all its airports on July 1st after a three-month lockdown.

Last month, Egypt repatriated 800 of its stranded citizens in Sudan through the border between the countries.
