Cairo –  Egypt has received 600,000 jabs of J&J and AstraZeneca vaccines against COVID-19 on 4 December, Acting Minister of Health, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, said.

The country will be receiving an additional 3.9 million doses of AstraZeneca vaccine by the end of this month, Abdel Ghaffar, who is the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, added on Sunday.

According to the latest data, Egypt has registered 362,260 cases of COVID-19, of which 300,437 individuals have recovered and 20,682 people passed away.

As for the new COVID-19 variant, Abdel Ghaffar recently stated that Egypt did not record any cases of Omicron.
