Muscat: An earthquake occurred in southern Iran on Wednesday, according to the Earthquake Monitoring Centre at the Sultan Qaboos University.

The Center said in a statement: “An earthquake in southern Iran with magnitude of 5.4 ml, at 11:23 PM, and at a depth of 21 km. The earthquake was recorded 222 km away from Khasab.”
