Abu Dhabi: A Dh285-million facility for the National Rehabilitation Centre (NRC) has been completed by the Abu Dhabi General Services Company (Musanada).

A statement issued on Sunday by Musanada, a facility management firm for public entities in Abu Dhabi, said that the building will be handed over to the NRC this month, according to schedule.

The NRC is the federal authority that provides rehabilitation for Emiratis. It is currently headquartered in Khalifa City and has a treatment centre in downtown Abu Dhabi with 78 beds. The new facility constructed by the Musanada will add another 169 beds. It is located in Shakhbout City, and consists of seven buildings and grounds spread over 100,000 square metres.

“Musanada worked to construct a modern and integrated care and rehabilitation centre that can house services for reintegrating addicted individuals,” said Ali Al Mehairbi, acting executive director of building construction and management at Musanada.
