Bahrain records highest number of COVID-19 cases

Of the 11,366 active cases, 187 are receiving treatment and 101 in critical condition

Bahrain yesterday recorded 1,418 new cases of Covid-19, highest daily total, alongside 987 recoveries and five fatalities.

Two Bahraini men, aged 38 and 79, a 73-year-old Bahraini woman, and two expat women, aged 81 and 58, died yesterday, taking the death toll to 662.

Of the new cases, 526 were expat workers, 870 contacts of local cases and 22 travel-related.

Of the 11,366 active cases, 187 are receiving treatment and 101 in critical condition.

Bahrain has so far registered a total of 181,880 cases.

The kingdom has also conducted 4,155,732 virus tests.
