The Ministry of Endowments has prepared a plan for the possible resumption of congregational prayers at mosques, which will be discussed in the upcoming cabinet meeting next week.

According to a Tuesday statement, the ministry will start on Saturday replacing carpets used for prayers in mosques, distributing 320,000 sqm of prayer rugs nationwide.

The ministry stressed it would take precautionary measures in case of resumption of congregational prayers at mosques such as keeping a safe distance between worshipers during prayers.

The ministry, however, did not determine the date for the return of prayers in mosques.
