As part of daily inspections, Dubai Economy fined 12 establishments, including gyms, business in malls and sewing shops, for flouting Covid-19 rules.  

In a tweet Dubai Economy stated that 12 establishments included gyms in cooperation with Dubai Sports Council in Al Safa Valley, Al Rashideya, businesses in malls as well as sewing shops. Besides, five shops have been issued a warning for not adhering to the precautionary measures, specifically social distancing.

No shop or commercial establishment was shut down while 767 establishments were found to be complying with government issued safety guidelines.

Stressing that any non-compliance will be dealt with firmly and in accordance with the laid-down procedures, Dubai Economy urged people in an earlier tweet to report Covid-19 rules violation by either clicking picture of the respective facility and uploading it on the Dubai Consumer app available on the Apple, Google, and Huawei stores, calling 600545555, or by visiting the www.Consumerrights.ae website.
