Saudi Arabia to host US armed forces

Jeddah — Saudi Arabia has announced that it will host US armed forces to preserve peace in the region, Saudi press Agency reported on Saturday, quoting an official source in the Saudi Ministry of Defense.

According to the report, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman has approved hosting of US armed forces in the Kingdom to increase joint Saudi-US cooperation for security, stability and peace in the region.

"The decision is part of the ongoing efforts being made by Saudi Arabia and the US to strengthen regional security and stability", the report said quoting the source.
