Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt has risen 21 places in the list of the Global Competitiveness Index 2019 to take the hundredth place among global markets, a report by Egyptian planning ministry said on Saturday.

The North African country also rose four places in the labour market, the ministry added.

The rising of Egypt’s ranking in such indices affirms the success of its economic reform programme which started in November 2016, planning minister Hala El Saeed stated.

The minister noted that the Egyptian government is moving in the right direction towards the building of a strong economy, adding that the country has realised several achievements in line with its sustainable development strategy.
