BEIJING, Oct 26 (KUNA) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping underlined the importance of developing cooperation with France especially in the civil nuclear power field.

His remarks came during a phone call with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday, where they discussed topics of mutual concern, as well as boosting cooperation on different levels.

The Chinese President also stressed on the need to enhance Chinese-French efforts to face the COVID-19 pandemic, and to develop cooperation in aviation, artificial intelligence, space and other fields.

He also said the two countries must support each other in hosting the 2022 Winter Olympics in Bejing in February and the Paris 2024 Olympics. (end) mab.ag
