ABU DHABI: Waha Capital, a leading investment company based in Abu Dhabi, has appointed Mohamed Hussain Al Nowais as Managing Director.

The appointment follows a decision by the Board of Waha Capital to part ways with Michael Raynes as the company pursues a new path of growth. Mr. Al Nowais, who is a Director of Waha Capital, will lead the company pending the appointment of a new CEO, which is currently being finalized.

Waleed Al Mokarrab Al Muhairi, Chairman of Waha Capital, commented: “Mohamed Al Nowais has been appointed as Managing Director to support Waha Capital as the company moves ahead with a growth strategy designed to further develop a solid diversified business. Mr. Al Nowais is a board member of Waha Capital and the Chairman and Managing Director of Tama Investment & Development LLC. Previously Mr. Al Nowais has held roles at Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) and J.P. Morgan in New York.

Waha Capital operates two business divisions: Private Investments, which invests directly in high potential companies, and Asset Management, which invests proprietary and third-party funds in global listed equities and credit.
