Pagero Group has appointed Luis Ortega as its Managing Director for its Middle East & Africa (MEA) operations to assist with Pagero’s growing operations as a leading cloud-based business network provider in the region.

Businesses within the Middle East & Africa are increasingly adopting new technologies to enable faster and more efficient operations across purchase-to-pay, order-to-cash and logistics-to-pay (TMS) processes. With 25 years of experience in the engineering, consulting and outsourcing services, Luis will use his new role at Pagero to help customers within the region to overcome the challenges of managing infrastructure projects and convert these new technologies to real benefits, helping them to stay ahead of the competition in the process.

“Digitalisation with the Middle East & Africa is accelerating exponentially, as both governments and businesses in the region are recognising the impact technology and digitalisation can have on global competitiveness,” explains Bengt Nilsson, CEO of Pagero Group. “Businesses have the potential to expand outside of the region and become leading global players, especially if they invest early and implement their technology and infrastructure projects well. With this growing interest and demand, we’re proud to have Luis and his extensive experience join our team to guide Pagero’s local operations with the Middle East & Africa.”

Before joining Pagero, Luis was with IFS, a Pagero partner, for nearly six years and has spent most of his professional career helping asset-intensive businesses in Europe, Middle East and Africa improve their Asset Lifecycle Management. He holds a Masters in Telecommunication Engineering, and brings extensive experience in the engineering, consulting and outsourcing services, with a primary focus on the Energy, Utility and Telecommunications industry.

“My experience with IFS and in the IT industry has given me extensive experience and understanding of the challenges clients face – in relation to budget, technology, integration and implementation,” add Luis Ortega. “With their regional and global network of partners, Pagero provides customers with the technology, customer service and support they need to tackle these challenges. This is why Pagero has emerged as an industry leader, and why I am excited to be part of the Pagero’s expanding team within the Middle East and Africa.”
