Western Union has partnered with BoB Finance to launch the Western Union mobile app and Westernunion.com to allow online consumer money transfers in Lebanon.

In a joint statement, the BoB Finance and Western Union said that customers also have the unique option to initiate the transaction on the app and pay in-person at any of BoB Finance locations.

Hatem Sleiman, Western Union’s Regional Vice President, Middle East, Pakistan and Afghanistan, said that the cross-border and cross-currency money movement firm’s omnichannel strategy is inclusive and seeks to build bridges that connect people who are digitally advanced with those who are not yet online.

Western Union said that customers still have the choice to access retail agent locations across Lebanon to send money transfers in person.

Additionally, Western Union’s online service and mobile app allow customers to track money transfers online as well as locate Western Union agents where the money can be collected.

Western Union offers digital service via WU.com in over 60 countries and territories, while the mobile application is available in 35 countries.

Across the region, Western Union is offering online services in the UAE, Bahrain as well as Jordan Kuwait and Oman.
