Riyadh – Mubasher: The Board of Directors of Southern Province Cement Company accepted the resignation of the company’s CEO, Safar Mohammad Dhufayer, on Saturday, 11 July, which was submitted upon his request.

The board has authorised Aqeel Futis Kadasa to carry on the CEO duties as of 12 July, according to a stock exchange filing on Sunday.

The new CEO has a Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals and has over 25 years of practical experience. He started working for Yamama Cement Co and then the Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) before joining Southern Province Cement back in 1997, where he later became deputy CEO for industrial services.
