RIYADH: The Saudi Grains Organization (SAGO) has deposited SR28.3 million ($7.5 million) to 59 local wheat farmers who supplied quantities allocated for this season, SPA reported.

This payment is the 15th batch and includes the sixth payment for the beneficiaries of contracts between farmers and agricultural companies.

SAGO started receiving local wheat from farmers for the current season from April 4, 2021, and the total quantity received from farmers to date has reached 573,739 tons from 2,072 farmers.
