The importance of opening external markets for the programmes, courses and services provided by the Bahraini training institutes has been stressed by Nawaf Mohammed Al Jishi, Chairman of the Bahrain Society of the Private Training Institutes (BSPTI).

He urged the development of a national strategy in cooperation with all stakeholders, including the Ministry of Labour and Social Development, the Labour Fund Tamkeen and Export Bahrain to promote training institutes gain access to the markets in neighbouring countries, especially the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

He added that this would provide training institutes with more outstanding capabilities to overcome the challenges they face in the small Bahraini market that is witnessing fierce competition on the one hand, and on the other hand, supports the kingdom's plans for economic diversification and building a knowledge economy following Bahrain Vision 2030.

Al Jishi stressed that the training sector in Bahrain, which has long accumulated experience over more than fifty years, can provide competitive and qualitative training outside Bahrain.

"We have nearly 90 training institutes in Bahrain that offer all types of training courses in various fields and compete with each other to provide the best in the Bahraini market. There is no doubt that opening foreign training markets to these institutes and supporting them to export their courses and expertise would increase their opportunities, and develop performance and work standards through contact with external training experiences," he said.

He singled out the significance of collaboration in the field of training with Saudi Arabia.

"Training represents a fundamental aspect of cooperation in vital economic and investment sectors between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, and that contributes to creating more promising qualitative opportunities that meet aspirations and serve the desired sustainable development goals in the two kingdoms. We are witnessing an increasing trend in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to train and develop national cadres and employ them in vital sectors such as communications, programming, retail and others. We are pleased as Bahraini training institutes to participate in supporting this trend by providing qualitative training for Saudi cadres and building their capabilities," Al Jishi added.

The Chairman of the Bahrain Society of the Private Training Institutes pointed out that many Bahraini institutes provide training services successfully in several Arab Gulf countries, especially the eastern region of Saudi Arabia.

"There is a common historical and socio-cultural rapprochement between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, and this is reflected in the success of cooperation in the field of training, and the brothers in Saudi Arabia have immense satisfaction and confidence in cooperating with Bahrainis in all fields, including the field of training," he concluded. -- Tradearabia News Service
