MANAMA: Work on six major projects benefiting different social categories is on track in line with Government Action Plan (2019-2022).

Labour and Social Development Minister Jameel Humaidan stressed the importance of the projects in meeting citizens’ needs, particularly people with physical disabilities and senior citizens and families.

A comprehensive disability complex in A’ali, a social service facility in Isa Town and a social care centre in Hamad Town are being constructed, financed by the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economy Development.

Alba is also financing a major part of Budaiya Comprehensive Social Centre, while Youssef bin Ahmed Kanoo Company donated to fund a similar hub in Manama.

A parents daycare club is also being set up as part of Jidhafs Social Centre, to accommodate more than 100 elderly people.
