Passengers flying with Emirates can skip the long queues during these social distancing times by checking in for their flights and taking COVID-19 testing in the comfort of their home through DUBZ, Dnata’s baggage technology and logistics company.

The firm has tied up with the Dubai-based carrier to offer the home services, including baggage disinfection, to passengers who want to pay extra for travel convenience.

Passengers can also have the option to book fast-track Marhaba services to help avoid the queues at the airport immigration, further ensuring that flyers can have contactless on ground experience during their journey.

“I have high hopes that this collaboration will build on this unique culture of creativity to provide Emirates passengers with safe and seamless travel experience. With today’s challenging environment, such innovation is much more needed and demanded by passengers and aviation players alike,” said Omar Abou Faraj, CEO of DUBZ.

Home services

Travellers can book for home testing where a medical professional will then visit the customers and perform the swab test ahead of the home check-in process. The results will be shared digitally.

For home check-in, passengers can book through Emirates’ website. Transguard agents will then drop by the flyer’s home to complete the check-in process: issue boarding passes, weigh and tag their sanitised baggage before delivering them to the airport.

The baggage will be disinfected with a protecting coating that lasts for up to 72 hours.
