Banks in the UAE will remain closed from 1stof Shawwal until the third of Shawwal for Eid Al Fitr holiday, according to a circular issued by Central Bankon Tuesday.

Since Eid is expected to fallon Friday, therefore, the banks will remain closed tillSundayand will resume their workon Monday. But if the Eid beginson Saturday, then the banks will reopenon Tuesdayafter three-day holidays.

The Central Bank advised all banks to ensure that their ATMs are properly stocked with cash at all time.
