Abu Dhabi - Under the distinguished patronage of His Excellency Sheikh NahayanMabarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, UAE capital, Abu Dhabi, will host the 10th International Conference of Al Noor (ICAN) on March 12and 13 at the Sheraton CornicheHotel & ResortAbu Dhabi.This year's edition will focus on two major topics in medicine, namely, Internal Medicine and Cardiology; these topics will be covered consecutively during the two-day conference.

"Dr. Hany George, Consultant Internal Medicine at Al Noor Hospital Khalifa Street Branch and the Conference Director - Internal Medicine said: "The first day of the conference will provide a venue for discussion and exchange of views on an array of topics related to internal medicine in the pregnant woman.  Speakers from various leading healthcare facilities across the UAE will focus on topics such as thyroid disorders during pregnancy, gestational diabetes and gastrointestinal diseases to name a few."

Dr. Shukri Saliba Mushahwar, Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at Al Noor Hospital Airport Road Branch and the Conference Director - Cardiology said: "The conference will provide an excellent platform for physicians and allied medical professionals within the field of cardiology to discuss clinical cases and best practices. The conference will address numerous relevant topics related to Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery including; heart disease in women, Hypertension, advanced heart failure therapies among many others."

It is worth mentioning that a medical exhibition will be held on the side-lines of the conference in which a number of international and local companies specialized in the fields of Internal Medicine and Cardiology will be showcasing their latest products.
