United Arab Emirates - iDashboards, a leader in business intelligence dashboard software, hosted its inaugural International Conference on the 20th and 21st of January 2016 at the Four Seasons Resort in Dubai. Hisham Assaf, Regional Director of iDashboards Middle East, kicked off the event welcoming the firm's clients and users of their dashboard software.

The keynote address, 'Leveraging Data for Transformation,' was delivered by Megha Kumar, Senior Research Manager - Software from IDC Middle East, Africa and Turkey. In her educational presentation, Kumar dove into the role of data in strategic decision-making and cost optimization within organizations and connected with users on their quest to innovate and engage customers while staying relevant in an increasingly competitive market economy.

The conference also featured a session on big data, led by Dr. Donald Yoon and Eng Teck Kong from iDEureka, where they explored how users can leverage iDashboards for big data analytics and visualization. Following was a customer panel session focused on how leading data driven organizations in the region leveraged iDashboards to develop mission critical dashboards to view and analyze key performance metrics from diverse data sources. The customer panel featured Fayez Abu-khalaf, Director of Managed Services at DU, Hassan Machmouchi, IT Expert of Dubai Statistics Center, Mohamed Ali Al Merri, Director of Dissemination at Statistics Centre Abu Dhabi, and Mussa Khiar, Senior Manager of Riyad Bank.

"Our customers and partners were able to both learn from each other and also interact with our team in order to better leverage their iDashboards installations while extracting the greatest value from their data," said Hisham Assaf.

The conference also featured Customer & Partner Awards, as well as a Samsung giveaway, and ended with participants being treated to Dubai's magnificent marina on a private dinner yacht cruise.

"It was a great experience to meet face-to-face with members of our international client base. The exchange of knowledge and ideas was very beneficial for all who participated and it was exciting to be a part of it," said Shadan Malik, President & CEO of iDashboards.

In addition to a deep dive into new features of the iDashboards v9.0 including iDashboards Data Integrator (iDl), the various sessions covered the creative, technical and functional elements of iDashboards, as well as in-depth information on best practices, design tips, technology integrations, data manipulation and customizations.

iDashboards enterprise dashboards are available through various options, including customer hosted and mobile platforms, and are easy to use - both for IT professionals and for everyday users.
