Award highlights dairy's market leading position and impact in glittering ceremony

Dubai - Al Rawabi, the UAE's number one locally-based dairy in terms of the production and farm capacities, has been recognised one of the region's best performing companies at the Top Companies in the Arab World 2015 Awards by Forbes Middle East.

Al Rawabi was feted in the "Top Private Companies Making an Impact" category, joining a powerful list dominated by brands from Saudi Arabia and the UAE. The companyis number 1 in the UAE market in terms of market share for juices, and also holds 1/3rd of the market for dairy products in the UAE.

The glittering ceremony, held in Dubai's Oberoi hotel, boasted a guest list with some of the Middle East's most recognisable business influencers and decision-makers.

Al Rawabi is a UAE success story where the first chapter was written in 1989. Since, we've grown to become one of the region's foremost locally-based dairies," said Al Rawabi Dairy Company's General Manager Dr Ahmed Eltigani.

Al Rawabi's ISO and HAACP certified facilities produce 275,000 litres of dairy products a day along with 150,000 litres of juice products available in 14 different flavours. The brand's products are distributed to over 10,000 retail outlets regionally.

Al Rawabi is investing heavily in capacity expansion to meet rising demand, with sales growing 15 percent in Q1 of 2015 alone. As part of a thrust towards becoming a premier regional brand, Al Rawabi is pushing into Kuwait, and has Bahrain in its sights for 2016. Plans are also in the works to export to countries in the North Africa geographies.
