OPEC member Kuwait has asked investors to submit applications for the construction of projects involving sulphur-based products.

The state-owned Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC), which manages the Gulf country's hydrocarbon sector, will supply 30,000-40,000 tonnes of sulphur annually to the potential investors, according to the Arabic language daily Alanba.

The paper, citing a KPC document, said the Company offered long-term sulfur supplies to be used as feedstock for the projects.

"KPC urged local and international investors to submit their applications for the construction of project inside Kuwait not later than March 25," the report said.

KPC stipulated that applicants must submit information about the project and the financial position of the investor besides relevant experience and technology.
