ABU DHABI - No traffic fatalities have been reported during the three-day holiday of Eid Al Adha in the emirate of Abu Dhabi, thanks to the adoption of the best international traffic safety standards and modern roads and bridges, said Abu Dhabi Police's Traffic and Patrols Directorate.

Traffic patrols were deployed on roads around the clock to monitor vehicular traffic and immediately respond to any possible emergency cases, the Directorate said.

It urged motorists to comply with traffic rules in order to ensure their own safety and that of other road users.

"Inattention is one of the main causes of serious traffic accidents," it noted.
